What’s Stopping You?

I decided to sell my house today. I’m no longer going to be held down to the place in which I live. Perhaps someday I’ll buy a house again, but for now, I like that there are at least 2 freedoms that I don’t get to enjoy because I own a house.

1) I can’t move anywhere. While being a homeowner is nice and I’ve had a great roommate to help me pay the mortgage, I am stuck here. I don’t make enough to pay 2 mortgages. Maybe I won’t be able to sell the place and I’ll be stuck anyway, but I won’t know until I try and so I’m going to try.

2) I can’t afford what I want. I would like to pursue my music in a more professional capacity. Part of that is owning a PA and a decent keyboard to play on. Because having an expensive mortgage is getting in the way, I’m selling the house.

Being creative isn’t always easy. It’s not always the simple path. But I think it’s always worth looking to see how you can live with more freedom and less hindrance to the things you want.

So. What’s stopping you?
